Left | Right is an ongoing photo series started in 2013 as a personal project during a day trip to Letchworth State Park. The driver was also an RIT photo student who on the way back detoured through small towns in Upstate New York asking the fellow passengers left, right, or straight at every intersection. The project evolved into the exploration of small manufacturing towns in New York, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. The photos convey the decline, and isolation of these areas spread out between bigger cities.
